I'm Sheressa, and books pretty much raised me.

I'm a children's author based in Stanislaus County, California, writing picture books rooted in imagination, identity, and the gentle courage it takes to grow up. When I'm not writing, I'm leading literacy events, visiting classrooms, and lighting up around every reader who lights up around a good story.
